Paige's week of fun with Mom-mom

Brian's mom (Paige's Mom-mom) came to visit us this week. We had a great time and as you will see, we took LOTS of pictures. You'll also notice that we opted to stay at my parents' house in San Diego rather than having Mom come up to see us at our place. (We offered to house-sit while they were roughing it in Hawaii this week!)
Paige has been even more active this week -- her crawling speed has really picked up and she is pulling up on anything and everything. She takes steps while holding on to the furniture and we quickly learned that she can climb up steps! By next week, I may be able to get a picture with her front teeth -- they are just breaking through.
Paige is already learning what it means to be spoiled by her grandparents. She had some great adventures and was showered with gifts and constant attention. She has been fussy since we dropped off Brian's mom at the airport this morning. She's a smart cookie -- she knows when her audience is gone. Fortunately for Paige, her other grandparents return tomorrow, so she will be able to spend a few more days with them before she has to adjust back to her boring life at home! :)

We spent our first day at the park. Paige was ready to show Mom-mom all her latest tricks.

Mom-mom has been busy making this quilt for Paige. Isn't it beautiful? Paige loves it!
A trip to California wouldn't be complete without In-N-Out Burger. Daddy always insists that we treat our guests to a fine meal...

Paige is enjoying her new car from Mom-mom and Pop-pop. After she studied it for a few minutes, she quickly discovered how to climb on it and push it around. She wasn't quite sure what to do when we put her on it...

It was a warm day and we took a break from shopping to watch the kids playing in the water. Paige was jealous of this little boy -- just wait until next summer!
Mom-mom couldn't resist buying Paige this elephant that sings "You are my Sunshine." I think she knows that her daddy is called "Sunshine" -- check out the way she responds to the elephant. She loves it!
Thanks Mom, I hear the song playing in my head and she has been in bed for a few hours now...
Paige was thrilled to meet Jill for lunch in Coronado.

This is the first time that Paige has actually been awake when we have taken her to the beach. I wanted to see how she reacted to the sand...

It didn't take long for her to taste it!

I think she was considering making a break for the water. She knows that crawling in a dress slows her down!

"Mom-mom, are you sure you don't want to stay another week?!"
